2009 was a high quality but very low yielding year for Fritz Wieinger. I have always liked his Chardonnay's and this is the best unoaked 'classic' i have tasted. Lovely ripe citrus on the nose with hints of peach, it's crisp, fresh and lively on the palate. Stone fruits and citrus really prominent, good acidity and a clean, minerally finish. Like a ripe Chablis in style, tangy, dry, crisp and pure, very good.
