This wine is made using a traditional Veronese practice known as - Ripasso. The young wine is re-fermented in the November following the vintage together with grapes that have been dried for two months. This re-fermentation gives the wine more body and depth. A blend of 70% Corvina Veronese and 30% Rondinella varieties, it was matured on yeast lees for just over a year in small French oak barrels prior to bottling.
Deep colured with spice and clove on the nose. It's rich with typical bitter chocolate and bright cherry fruits. As you would expect it's quite structured and grippy but really very tasty. Fruit cake hits dark chocolate
