Another fabulous Shiraz from Shaw and Smith, easy to say each new release is the best but it really seems to be the case. This is a absolutely great wine from the tricky 2007 vintage. Warm berry fruits with lots of spice pepper and creamy, toasty oak. It's rich and expansive on the palate. For such a young wine it's got a great velvety palate, with rich red and black berry fruits allied to toasty creamy oak. It's a rich, full yet beautifuly balanced Shiraz that is hedonistically enjoyable now but sure to improve. Fully deserving trophy winner.
