A long term favourite of ours. It seems to get ever more elegant and classy with each new release. The new 2008 is superb, hand picked grapes, whole bunch pressing, some wild yeast fermentation, barrel fermented with partial malolactic fermentation. All good! Lovely ripe nose with nectarine, peach, honeyed citrus and toasty, nutty french oak with a hint of butterscotch and cashew. It's rich and full yet has great acidity. It's got real poise, everything is there but all in balance, and quite elegant. Honeyed citrus, stone fruits, crisp acidity, creamy nutty oak. It's very young and can only improve but already has great length, complexity and more to follow. An Australian Chardonnay of great class.
